We're glad you like it. With regards to included software, you are exactly correct. Everything that is installed by the installer is in fact stored on the .iso, provided you download the cached version.

Cheers,

The Apricity OS Team

Oh, sweet.  I've been waiting for that news.  After several failed attempts to install the OS onto my desktop using the July Beta, I decided to just wait for the next one.  I'm going to download it this afternoon.   :D

Hi XavyAir,

You know, that's a good question. I am not on that computer at the moment but as I recall I have removed some things that might contribute to that: those stupid software updater deamons and Bluetooth come to mind (maybe that is all there was).

But one thing that I definitely follow closely is the RAM usage when I install new kernels, which I sort of like to do to keep from getting bored -- Peppermint Five and Peppermint Six are so rock solid there really is not much to do except experiment around so that I don't fall asleep  :P ). I've noticed RAM usage figures differing as much as 20-30 MB depending on the kernel I'm running. Not a lot, I know, but that is part of the equation.

And the probably most important part of the equation is which computer I'm using. My various machines vary in RAM usage by another 30-50 MB even though they run the same kernel, deamons, etc.
