There is no "setting"  for that.

You can however create a script for randomly changing the wallpaper from a given directory and add it as a cron job to be run every 60 minutes.

see here:

if you need any help, just ask.

Another way to change wallpaper every 60 minutes

Open a terminal and run:
Code: [Select]
gedit ~/.config/autostart/auto-wallpaper-changer.desktop
When a BLANK file opens, make it read:-
Code: [Select]
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=Auto Wallpaper Changer
Comment=Change wallpaper every 60 mins
Exec=bash -c 'while true ; do gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background picture-uri "file:///$(find /home/mark/Pictures/Wallpapers -type f | shuf -n1)" ; sleep 60m ; done'
Terminal=false
Categories=Utility;
Icon=wallpaper
(be sure to change "mark" in the "Exec=" line to YOUR username)
SAVE the file.

Log off/on.

The above autostart file will (at login, then every 60 minutes) randomly select a file from the "/home/mark/Pictures/Wallpapers" directory and set it as the wallpaper.

So that directory MUST exist, and contain the wallpaper images you want
(or change the path accordingly)

Hint .. you can change the "sleep 60m" if you wish ..

sleep 50 = 50 second delay
sleep 50m = 50 minute delay
sleep 50h = 50 hour delay
sleep 50d = 50 day delay

How do you control the "stretch, tile, center..."? I wouldn't expect to control it for each image but what would it default to and how can you change it?

It will default to whatever setting you have in the dconf key

org.gnome.desktop.background.picture-options

which mirrors whatever you have set in the "Wallpapers" wallpaper manager
