I'm just sayin'...
« on: April 21, 2014, 05:14:04 pm »
Folks, you will be hard pressed to find anybody on any other forum willing to go the distance to answer your questions and resolve your issues as PCNetSpec does as a matter of course.  We're fortunate to have him here and I hope you appreciate him and his efforts.....even if he is still a cheeky git.  >:D

Well, enough of that!   I'm just sayin'......

Great point Kendall, I've have to get used to using just apt in Peppermint   ;D.  That's another big difference between Lubuntu and Peppermint. You can't just apt it in Lubuntu  ;).

It's true, PCNetSpec is a force of nature.  He was born to bike, and to use Linux.  I learn something every time he writes.  He could write a book called, The Biker's Guide to Linux -- What Freedom Really Means, and I believe the book could make a go of it.  Naturally Peppermint OS would be a major feature (or character) of the book.   Just think of the personality types he has here to draw from -- just from this crazy and brilliant and funny forum , never mind the people he's meeting on the road , or the characters who are bound to wander into his shop.  His book could be something akin to a combination of  All Creatures Great and Small, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and the philosophy and guide to Linux -- emphasizing its relevance and its cruciality, and importance, for humankind's existence at the beginning of this chaotic 21st century.  Shareware, which includes freely given concepts, will become more and more a part of our lives everyday  -- most probably changing the world's economic and political paradigms forever.  Yeah, the idea is a winner, and PCNetSpec is the guy to write this book -- the Linux part of the book is already on the Net -- in bits and pieces.  He just has to round those parts up.  That's  at least one third of a book that is already written.

I assure everybody here, there is only one forum like this Peppermint forum on planet Earth, and, there is only one PCNetSpec on planet Earth too!

Good post, Mac.

Now let's get PCNetSpec to write this book that we're all waiting to read!  He could even shorten the title to Peppermint if he wanted!!

Honestly, it would be darn near impossible to produce Peppermint and maintain all the other aspects of the project if it wasn't for PCNetSpec's dedication to this support forum, his contributions to the OS, and his willingness to help us safeguard all other places where Peppermint maintains a presence. He is clearly an MVP around here

And I can't say enough about all the mods here at the support forum. You all make this an amazing place to gain assistance and learn. The best mod team ever.
