GENUINE
« on: June 03, 2015, 09:39:42 pm »
Hello fellow Peppermint users, I am here again with some other awesome desktop screenshots from my fresh Peppermint 6 installation, it took me several hours to get it right, but so far I am happy

Icon set : Ultra Flat
GTK theme:  Ambiance Blackout Flat Colors (I chose Aqua-Pro)
Window Decoration: Numix
Walpaper: Oregairu by CahyoVON(DeviantArt)
I hope you all like it

Can anyone help me with the icons on the panel, mainly on the system tray, as they seem to go back to GNOME icons, mainly the battery one, I use the xfce power manager

I'm not a fan of the flat look.  Saying that, I could happily live with what you've put together here.  Good job, it's looking sharp  ;)!!

Hi XavyAir,

Looks terrific! What are you doing/using to get the vertical list of icons on the left side of the screen? Is that a dock of some sort? Or an additional panel?

Sorry, but I don't think that I can help you concerning the panel icons in the system tray. Maybe someone else??  :-\

I used to use Docky.  Since Peppermint Six, I've been using a developer's version of Plank via a ppa.  It's nice and light.  Plenty feature rich for my requirements and it never gives me any problems.  I have to say, I've become a bit of a Plank fan boy  ;)!!

I can only assume your icon theme doesn't contain any icons for the battery indicator .. so it uses the one from the parent theme

It actually does have, since I have used this theme with other desktop environments, I have seen it do

here they are

I like both, but I prefer Plank since it is lighter, sometimes double icons bugs but nothing that can't be easily fixed

I use the version from the PPA, so this is why I have those minor double icon bugs everytime I update plank or any of those apps that are affected by the double icon bug.
