Check Version Info using the Terminal

Open your terminal and run this command

Thanks Andy.  I posted it as a test or sorts for using Vokoscreen.  If it works well it may prove usable in the support forums.  Did you ever try Vokoscreen on your laptop?

No mac, I've never heard of it.  It looks really interesting though.  Is it in the repos?  I think I'm going to have to have a tinker with this  ;).

I wish you would....I'm sure you'd get the hang of it very quickly.  You can save in .avi or .mkv formats.  I'm not a video man (for reasons already stated elsewhere) but someone who knows how could convert the videos to other formats, if desired.  Youtube will publish .avi and .mkv but it fusses about it and doesn't retain its quality when increasing the size (theater or full screen mode).  But I digress.  Give it a shot when you get a chance.
