Keyboard special key launcher assignments (?)
« on: April 09, 2015, 01:25:15 pm »

Does anyone know of a way to make the special function keys on a PC keyboard made for Windows to work?

I have an older keyboard that works just fine.  Except the keys that were made to open email, zoom in, open file manager, home page, play/pause, volume up/down and sleep don't actually do anything right now.  Is there any way of assigning those keys the intended functions for Peppermint (or Linux Mint or Ubuntu)?

It's not essential, but it would be kind of nice to be able to make those particular keys actually do something.

I have the regular Peppermint out of the box sort of thing.  Didn't change the default DE or any of that.

I was hoping to find some sort of utility that would assign functions to those keys, but no such luck so far.

Thanks in advance!
