I think before we vote we should have both Everhard and Andy have a debate on the issues....  :P

@ Andy I take it you don't like old Everhard?

P.S. That pic of andy is lacking something, I got it, He needs to have a big ol stogie in his mouth then he would look like a true mayor.
Kinda like Boss Hogg on the dukes of hazzard...

The minute AndyInMokuom opens his mouth  :o the election is over.

The prediction is it's going to be a landslide victory for AndyInMokum.  And Peppermint wins by a huge margin in the process!  :)

He's actually not a bad guy and he does a pretty good job ;).  I like your profile idea but I'm a boring old devil really.  I'm a confirmed non-smoker and non-drinker.  The Boss Hogg image just ain't me.  I'm more of a, sit in café terrace by a canal, with a cup of coffee and just watch the world go by kinda guy  :D

Remember:  A café is a great place to meet with your constituents!  ;)

First you begin by bringing Peppermint into your home, then you bring Peppermint to your local café and neighborhood; and then you get your neighborhood to nominate you as a mayoral candidate.  Your platform is very simple:  Keep the same services, but promise to reduce taxes by whatever percentage the city would save if all municipal computers ran open source software -- City Hall, schools, libraries, public works departments, etc.

Now your detractors will say this will cost to educate the workers.  Your response is that you and your volunteers will educate the workers yourselves.  Tell them this is easier than Windows and heck of a lot more fun.  Besides they can't beat the price.

AndyinMokum, this is the spirit of Amsterdam we're talking about here.  We talking about a quality of life unrivaled on Planet Earth.  Good old Mokum has to go open source.  Mokum and Linux are a perfect fit.  Amsterdam and the philosophy behind open source software are a perfect match.  This is a winning combination!  :)

I personally think the race is fixed, seeing as good ol Everhard didn't get a single vote....     :o
