Hello friends at Peppermint,

I'd like to begin burning some DVDs within Peppermint, and if possible I'd like to do so the way it's done in Ubuntu -- right clicking the iso file and then writing to the disk.

The link below, which includes recommendations from PCNetSpec, is a from the old Peppermint forum a couple of years back.  Are xfburn or brasero still the recommended utilities for burning DVDs within Peppermint?  I've recently heard of K3b too.

Thank you,

perknh

[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

K3b is a KDE application so it'll bring with it a TON of dependencies (96 on my PC totalling 169MB) .. but as always it's your choice ::)

Thank you, PCNetSpec.

So that's what the K stands for!

It sounds as if one of the others would be better for me.  I just want to burn iso files to DVDs.

Thank you,

perknh

P.S.

I installed Xfburn from our Software Center.  It's basic and simple -- just what I was looking for!  :)
