Remoting from Windows 7 to Peppermint
« on: February 11, 2015, 09:33:02 am »
Hi This is my 1st post on here.

I have downloaded Peppermint 5 and I'm finding excellent for my little notebook however, what I am having trouble in remoting from my Windows 7 machine to my Peppermint netbook but for some reason or another I'm not getting much success. I have installed XRDP and I am getting the screen which is not my peppermint desktop but just a light brown screen with millions of small dots!  . What do I need to do now? This is beginning to annoy me!

I would add a photo but I'm not too sure how to on this site!

Hope to hear how to get this sorted soon!

Surely the easiest way to remote control another PC is via Teamviewer which is available for Windows, OS X, Linux, and even iOS and Android ;)

https://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx

Ridiculously simple to use .. install run, connect .. simple as that :)

Nothing stopping you setting it to autostart at bootup and setting your own password .. if you want it available all the time

It also does file transfers, chat, etc. .. and all for free for personal use.
