Hi all, I've been following this query about using the Fn F2-F3 combination for screen dimming.  http://forum.peppermintos.com/index.php/topic,1501.msg13555.html#msg13555.  All that has happened is it killed the output to the headset jack and killed the Wifi.  The internal speakers on the laptop are working.  I have opened the Pulse Audio Volume Control and when the 3.5mm mini jack is plugged in, it is recognised but the volume is greyed out.  The internet connection works with the ethernet connection.  WiFi is dead though.  It would be really nice to reset these  ;D.  My laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Li3710 64bit.  For detailed specs, please click on my signature below.  Many thanks  ;)

Edit:  A reboot reset the Wifi.  The headset output remains disabled.

Never mind, another reboot reset the pulse audio settings.  Everything is now, "hunky dory"  ;)!

The Fn+F2 and Fn+F3 key como's were specific to perknh's laptop .. or were you modifying the instructions to suit YOUR keys ?

I've added some fiuther info to that topic anyway, if you wanna give "Brightness Controller" a spin.
