and I'm also Italian american musician from NJ hahahah so yep works for me.
You should give redshift a shot on a side now. I think there is a way to config it
so it just lowers only the brightness at night and not the color that way you dont
even have to think about it. I prefer the color temp and brightness but its a useful
too and more 'hands free'.

I can't believe I ran the commands backwards, and still everything works.

And, yes, I'll look at redshift too.  It's good to know there a couple good tools out there for brightness; but for right now, this brightness controller is working perfectly.   ;)

[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)
