Chromium keeps crashing
« on: January 23, 2015, 12:02:58 pm »
Don't get me wrong, I understand that all I have to do is install another browser and use it instead.

And I have read the tutorial for fixing the links so the website as app works with Chrome.  And I have chrome installed and running.

But it bothers me that Chromium is crashing (in that tab that opens the page only) when I try to go to Google Chrome Store and when I try to play a lesson video at Udemy.com  This is not specific to this Distro either.  Chromium has mis-behaved the same way on at least two other installs over the last two weeks.

I would prefer to use the default apps as setup.   Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tom Miller

Try running:
Code: [Select]
update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install
then
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install lubuntu-restricted-extras ubuntu-restricted-extras
If that last command asks you to accept a license agreement and you can't figure out how to select "OK" .. use the "Tab" key.
Now close ALL web browser instances and re-open Chromium to test.
