Software Updater error message (SOLVED)

When I try to do an update I get a message not enough room in /boot folder

I did the sudo apt-get clean in the terminal and deleted my trash
I still get this message

can you see anything I can delete

Can you open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and post the output from this command:

dpkg -l | grep linux-image

Open a terminal and run this long command:

sudo apt-get remove --purge linux-image-3.13.0-29-generic linux-image-extra-3.13.0-29-generic linux-image-3.13.0-30-generic linux-image-extra-3.13.0-30-generic linux-image-3.13.0-35-generic linux-image-extra-3.13.0-35-generic linux-image-3.13.0-36-generic linux-image-extra-3.13.0-36-generic linux-image-3.13.0-37-generic linux-image-extra-3.13.0-37-generic linux-image-3.13.0-39-generic linux-image-extra-3.13.0-39-generic
then
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get autoremove
When prompted hit Y the Enter to accept the changes

then run
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update
Now try updating via the Software Updater

Thanks for your help

I did the commands as you requested
I got an error message, I could not get a screenshot (something like boot <0)
I ran updater again and it told me to run get-apt install  -f, I did that
new error  message says: Failed to download repository information, check your wifi connection
my wifi is working

Can you post the output from:

When I turned the computer on this morning, the updater was in the panel, so I did the updates and it was successful
no errors, but here is the answer to your request

The previous commands to remove the old kernels must have been successful, leaving room in your /boot partition for the new kernel .. All is well with the world again :)
