Ah, sorry Fritz74 .. I thought you'd followed the tutorial by stevesveryown .. instead it seems you both did something similar :)

They're both really cool :)

@zeb: It is a 2K display on a Chuwi LapBook 12.3. The build quality of this laptop is horrible. It is almost falling apart after daily usage for 9 months. But, still, a great screen. ;)

And another remark about Plank: I wanted my desktop to look like Chrome OS, so I read some basic tutorials. It is comprehensible enough and can do  some cool things, like using folders:

A foundation of Peppermint is 'Family Health' :)

[EDIT]

Phew! .. thank god it wasn't 'Family Planning' or 'Big Busty Blondes'.

Very Nice  8)

Thx, zeb. I use that machine mostly for achieving documents with my flatbed scanner, and word processing.

It really helps to see, compose, and work an entire page without having to vertically and horizontally scroll  8)

Well the people that invented the mouse controlled "windowed" GUI, Xerox's Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) actually intended it to be used in that orientation .. it also suggests 16:9 (or thereabouts) isn't nearly as new as some people would like to think :)

Xerox Alto Workstation (1st March 1973)

PARC were light years ahead of anyone else .. but never had the smarts to realise it could be a commercial success (odd when you consider Xerox weren't really dumb when it comes to business).

Did Steve Jobs steal everything from Xerox PARC?

Yes of course he did .. he's pretty much admitted so.
(something any Mac fans that bitch about Microsoft 'stealing' the MacOS GUI idea should keep in mind .. it wasn't Apple's to steal in the first place)

Oops, doing my rant thing again aren't I :-[
