Thanks to PCNetSpec I can now put really big preview images on the desktop: https://forum.peppermintos.com/index.php/topic,7029.0.html
I'm using this for quotes, grocery lists etc.

The dock on the bottom left is plank with  increased spacing between the items.

PM7 was very "Marmite", as far as the icon theme went, some loved it and others hated it .. there was no middle ground :)

I'm quite surprised by the amount of people who said they preferred the blue active window border rather than the grey though .. but then you only ever hear from people that don't like a change, people that are happy with a change rarely comment. So there's really no way to know which people prefer.

yes, you're right @PCNetSpec...
then you hear they don't like the colorful minimize-, maximize- and close-buttons...
i like it...
but hey, if you don't like it, so go and change it...

just copy and paste it from my PM8 drive...
but in the end, i don't like it...
(EDIT: i donīt try the new one (@your link) for now, maybe later...)

currently i made/run this one here:

i put the adapta-theme on it, change some colours there and modify the peppermix-icons (custum-folders, volume-status) and some other stuff...

Hi Fritz74,

That does not look like the standard Peppermint panel. Was this a clean install or did you keep a home directory from a previous install of something?

@zebedeeboss
I get the feeling it **is** the xfce4-panel, but it has been "tweaked" to look more like the ChromeOS panel .. possibly following the tutorial by stevesveryown.

See here:
https://plus.google.com/photos/photo/108119382432572544511/6559936687815140786?sqid=118252788430477557487&ssid=3f32a6e1-bd61-434b-9cbc-891de3d7f98b

Steve had done a video on how to achieve this, but I can no longer find it ???

@zebdeeboss:
It is Plank on the left side and a standard Xfce panel on the right side.
