If you want to change the icon you'll have to edit the

Icon=

line in the

/usr/share/applications/peppermint-logout.desktop

file,to point at the icon you want to use.

So run:
Code: [Select]
sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/peppermint-logout.desktop
find the line that reads:-

Icon=system-shutdown-panel

and change it to something like

Icon=/full/path/to/your-icon.png

then SAVE the file

The panel icon may not change until you log off/on again.

Hi iamesperambient, if the address:
Code: [Select]
/home/iamesper/Documents/wallpapersandmenus/redlogout.png
is where the PNG image is stored.  It should work.  Have you logged off and back in?  I personally wouldn't have this image stored locally.  Save it as ROOT in:
Code: [Select]
/usr/share/peppermint/images
This is where the menu, banner images and such are saved.  If you haven't moved the image from its current location, run this command.
Code: [Select]
sudo mv -v ~/Documents/wallpapersandmenus/redlogout.png /usr/share/peppermint/images

Enter the following command:
Code: [Select]
gksudo gedit /usr/share/applications/peppermint-logout.desktop

Make the file look like the following:
Code: [Select]
[Desktop Entry]
Name=End Session
Name[zh_TW]=關機
Comment=Shutdown or Reboot
Icon=/usr/share/peppermint/images/redlogout.png
Exec=lxsession-default quit
NoDisplay=true

Save and exit the file.  Logout and login.  That should do it.  I hope this helps  ;)!
