A friend bought one these for his daughter, last Christmas.  I haven't heard any horror stories.

You're not gonna get the same quality in an Inspiron as a Latitude.  It probably has delicate, plastic hinges, and so forth.

The interesting thing to me is the numeric keypad -- actually, the whole keyboard design.

Personally, I'd be willing to take a chance on an Inspiron for that feature alone.  ;)

I just checked THE UBU CERTS

Looks like the model, yes?

If so, I judge it should run Peppermint just fine.

excellent! im going to be using it mostly as a desktop honestly connected to my monitor mouse and keyboard
and this lattidude i have now im going to use as my mobile laptop. This is cheaper than getting a desktop
and seems peppermint works better on laptops so this should be good and the price is right too.

~Cool

I run my Dell Latitude D620 24/7.  I cannot believe this thing hasn't burned up yet.  When it does, I'll rebuild it.

For the road, I use a Dell Latitude ATG D630.  This one is built like a tank, has dual-batteries, and an SSD.

I like Dells...   ;D
