Formating a USB drive
« on: October 09, 2014, 09:44:00 am »
I needed to format my usb drive.  I finally found a simple way that Sam Azgor of http://sam.azgor.com/ showed me online.

Disks app has a bug. It doesn't work for me.
Required skills:  Entry level

1.   download and install  gparted
2.  Select drive from menu
3.  Umount drive
4 Formated it to fat32
Apply and complete

5 minute simple fix after searching for about 30 mins on terminals, and mounting and directory creations that got me nowhere.   I love simple fixes

here is the link that worked for me http://sam.azgor.com/format-usb-or-pen-drive-in-linux-mint

I thought andyinmokum had a tutorial on gparted here on this forum many moons ago...  I'm sure if you would have searched this forum you would have found it here...
