opening a file(Solved)

does anyone know how to open this file unityweb player ive just down loaded  its to run a game on facebook

Hi steve2474, Where did you find Unity Web Player for Linux?  What file are you speaking of?

when i clicked on one of the games on facebook it said that i had to click on the link to down load unity player to play

Hi steve2474, as far as I can see, the Unity Web Player is incompatible with Linux OSs.

thats not good is there any other way of running the game with another compatable program

Hi Steve, I've been doing some digging and I found that you can run the Unity Web Player in Linux with Pipelight.  The downside is it won't run in Chrome / Chromium version 35 or higher,  It will run in Firefox though.  Here is the link: Using Unity Web Player in Linux.  Follow the instructions for the installation of Pipelight and then follow the Ubuntu instructions.  I hope this helps - have fun  ;)!!
