Copying between drives
« on: November 21, 2020, 11:09:19 am »
Tried copying the entire contents of an SSD (as USB) to another external drive for a backup so I could reuse the SSD on a new build. Was using the Files Program.
It seems the SSD kept "unmounting" so it would error out.Downloaded a software program that advertised that it would sync between 2 drives to try to remedy the situation. It errored out too.Not sure what needs to be done to fix that situation. Ended up using SyncToy on a windows computer to tackle the chore.Any suggestions?

I suggest that if your USB bus is overloaded the connection to the SSD dock or whatever could crap out due to insufficient power.

Which program?
What were the exact errors?
