XFCE desktop (SOLVED)
« on: November 05, 2020, 06:38:14 pm »
Howdy all,

I have been having a little trouble trying to switch to the Xfce desktop. When I finally get it to manage the desktop I get this when clicking on any icon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 8)

It's mostly likely your gsettings

Code: [Select]
gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.default-applications.terminal

Run that in terminal

Here is the output afterwards

Code: [Select]
j10@Lenovo ~ $ gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.default-applications.terminal
Usage:
gsettings [--schemadir SCHEMADIR] set SCHEMA[:PATH] KEY VALUE

Set the value of KEY to VALUE

Arguments:
SCHEMADIR A directory to search for additional schemas
SCHEMA    The name of the schema
PATH      The path, for relocatable schemas
KEY       The key within the schema
  VALUE     The value to set

Nemo itself does not have a desktop session..... If you install thunar and set nemo as your file manager.
See if that fixes your issue.

That was it! I didn't have thunar installed yet.  I forgot about it this time around. Thank you!
