How to install Peppermint 10

and NOT have it take over grub?  I already have Linuxmint os installed and the menu setup and i DON'T want to change it.

what mount point do i use?

I installed it and it boots up the peppermint menu.

how do i change it back to linuxmint menu?

Generally, if you boot into Linux Mint and update grub from there, then Linux Mint grub should be in control of grub.
It may work, it may not.

I added the caveat because you have not provided many details about your set up.
How many OS installations?
Same disk or separate disks?
UEFI or BIOS?
Any form of disk or file system encryption?

Please make sure that you have backups of all your data before trying any suggestion about boot procedure. Backups are essential

Hi Seadevil, if updating grub while in mint as invisible suggests doesn't work, try reinstalling grub while in mint.
