making permanent changes to folders.
« on: October 14, 2020, 09:37:53 am »
Hi,

For those of you who are familiar with the windows world. I am trying to duplicate the ability to have persistent changes to folder appearance and organization such as: reordering the columns, changing the width of the columns. adding and deleting columns, detail view vs folder view, etc.. etc.. and to have these changes persistent within a given folder or even to have all folders have these changes
persistent.
can I do that ?

"...or even to have all folders have these changes..."

What about Edit -> Settings? Is there any of your wish you cannot set up?

To add further clarity to the reply from Howling Wolf, once you open Nemo, go to Edit-> Preferences which will open a new window titled "File Management Preferences".

All the adjustments you mentioned will be available in that window organized by categories on the left side.

Good luck!
