Another Gnu make issue
« on: October 11, 2020, 12:47:49 pm »
I have successfully built a static library but now I'm trying to set it up to where I either build a static or a dynamic library.  With the makefile and sources in src where it works, I tried moving the makefile to src/static and adjusting
Code: [Select]
SRC := $(wildcard *.c)
OBJ = $(patsubst %.c,%.o,$(SRC))
Code: [Select]
SRC := $(wildcard ../*.c)
OBJ = $(patsubst ../%.c,%.o,$(SRC))
which is supposed to pick up the source files from src and put the object files in static. When I tried to run make, it couldn't find the source files!
Apparently, Gnu's logic (or code) is different than what I was expecting.
Any ideas?
